A black eyed, gollywog, that startles and surprises, is always lounging
about, with open eyes, is looking, can see, notices, talks sometimes,
plays the game of being a gollywog, there in the background, on a
chair,
or sofa, waiting, watching, looking around...

Gollywogs were banned in many countries, as they were perceived to
be racist...

Then they invented white Gollywogs, all white Gollywogs, you could even
see the whites of their eyes.
